This ring came to be because a client was inspired by a trip New York and after seeing a yellow diamond ring in the city she knew she had to have one.

When you cannot find the perfect ring, sometimes you just have to build it from scratch.

This ring was created for a client that wanted something totally different than a traditional looking engagement ring. We started with a round diamond and designed a custom made platinum setting that features an asymmetrical design offset to one side. The last picture shows how unique this couples wedding bands are with hers being a straight band with bezel set diamonds staggered throughout and his a black zirconium band with a diamond set into the band.

This ring features a gorgeous cushion cut blue sapphire in a ring we designed to the exact dimensions of the gemstone so that the halo had a nice and tight fit around it. It showcases the blue sapphire with a cushion shaped halo with pave` set diamonds and finished with milgrain while the gallery area under the sapphire has some unique beading and hand engraving down the band.

She requested a slight change of scenery on her left hand while still retaining the center diamond she was originally given. We discussed what she was interested in and what we ended up with is a very modern twist on a classic look. We started with her 1 ct princess cut diamond held in place by “V” shaped prongs. From there we made sure that if there were any empty space we put a diamond in it! Triple rows of pave set diamonds were placed on the shank with beading on the outside edge. We placed a floral like pattern on the gallery under the center diamond to give a “vintage” look to what would be considered a modern trend with a halo surrounding the center diamond.

Not every piece of custom jewelry starts as a sketch. Some start from combining different design elements. Sometimes we use pieces in our own inventory and combine them with a piece from elsewhere and transform those elements into one truly unique design.

In this series of images shown, the first two photos in the gallery were the foundation for the design. The images following are from the CAD software, or computer-aided design, used to create the ring. This gives an accurate image of what the finished product will look like before the actual construction of the piece begins. The CAD photos do not show the engraving and fine detail work. The final three photos are of the beautiful finished product. A gorgeous platinum engagement ring with a 1.80 ct cushion cut diamond surrounded by 1.32 ct of round pave set diamonds. The bottom half of the shank is finished with an intricate hand engraving.

He was a thrill to work with because he knows what he wants and he also allowed us some of the creative control to make sure the end result was a showstopper. He handpicked light blue sapphires and we custom cut them to fit the design. The floral gallery under the center diamond and the delicate hand engraving around the knife-edge shank made this piece perfect. We loved the end result.

This custom ring was designed around a 2.3 ct cushion cut diamond. The diamond was set between two half-moon cut shaped diamonds. We added some unique gallery work under the diamonds and used an uncommon “split prong” setup on the center diamond.
